(38778) II
The invention relates to a toilet seat with glasses and with a lid, said seat parts are connected to each other via a hinge and at least one of these seat parts has a transparent position with a pictorial representation.
For decoration purposes, it is known in toilet seats (DE 20 2006 007 601 U1) to provide in a shallow recess of the lid a pictorial representation on an image carrier and to protect this image carrier with a transparent cover. To change the pictorial representation of the image carrier can be replaced after a decrease in the transparent cover. Although innumerable embodiments of the pictorial representations are possible, the limitation remains that no optical effects outside the image carrier can be used for the respective pictorial representation.
The invention is therefore based on the object, a toilet seat of the type described in such a way that with relatively simple design means an optical Mehreffekt for the pictorial representation on the lid or the glasses can be achieved.
The invention achieves the stated object that the transparent layer made of acrylic glass is connected to a lighting device for the front light irradiation and has at least one illuminable part of the pictorial representation determining surface depressions. 2/10 2
The invention makes use of the fact that light radiated into the end face of an acrylic glass panel or shell not only exits on the peripheral sides of this panel or shell and thus brings about a luminous effect, but is also scattered or reflected in the area of the surface depressions, so that these surface depressions become luminous Form picture elements. The surface depressions thus result in accordance with their course and their arrangement luminous parts of the pictorial representation, which greatly expands the possibilities of pictorial representations. The surface depressions can thereby determine the pictorial representation. But it is also quite possible that the pictorial representation is printed on a separate from the transparent layer image carrier or on the transparent layer itself and optionally recessed in the region of the surface depressions. In this case, the pictorial representation provided on a separate image carrier or on the transparent layer as an image carrier can be supplemented by luminous effects which occur in the region of the surface depressions adapted to the pictorial representation. If the pictorial representation does not influence the luminous effect, then the pictorial representation in the area of the surface depressions can be omitted, which always has to be the case if the pictorial representation covers the transparent position to the outside.
Another way to obtain optical effects on the frontal light radiation in the transparent layer of acrylic glass, is to change the wavelength of the emitted light of the light source in the visible wavelength range, so that different light colors can be provided.
For frontal light irradiation in the transparent layer of acrylic glass, the lighting device may have a bar with juxtaposed LEDs, which is connected to the front side on the side facing the hinge side of the transparent layer. In this case, adjoining the rear edge of the seat part peripheral edge of the transparent sheet of acrylic glass can provide a lighting that can be used, for example, at night. In this context, it is advisable to control the lighting device 3/10 3 via a motion detector, so that the lighting device is turned on, for example, when the toilet door is opened. Depending on the motion detector, the lighting device can also be switched off again when no movement is detected in a predetermined follow-up time. This activation via the motion detector is advantageous for an economical use of energy, in particular if the energy supply takes place via a battery inserted in the strip with the light-emitting diodes next to each other.
In the drawing, the subject invention is shown, for example. Show it
1 shows a cover of a toilet seat according to the invention in a schematic plan view,
Fig. 2 shows a section through the lid along the line ll-ll of Fig. 1 on a larger scale and
Fig. 3 is a corresponding to FIG. 2 representation of a lid according to the invention in a variant.
Of the toilet seat only the cover 1 is shown, which is conventionally connected via a hinge articulated with a pair of glasses. The cover 1 has a base body 2, which is covered by a transparent layer 3 made of acrylic glass. This transparent layer 3 is coupled to a lighting device 4, which has a bar 5 with juxtaposed light-emitting diodes 6 and to the hinge facing end face 7 of the transparent layer 3 connects such that the emitted light from the light emitting diodes 6 end face in the transparent layer 3 , Due to the optical properties of the acrylic glass, the incident light is transmitted within the transparent layer 3 and exits at the peripheral end face 8 again from the transparent layer 3, resulting in a bright peripheral edge.
Since the transparent layer 3 of acrylic glass, preferably on the base body 2 facing side, surface recesses 9, the frontally irradiated light is scattered in the region of the surface depressions 9 with the effect 4/10 4 or reflects that these surface depressions 9 undergo illumination visible through the transparent layer 3 so that the surface depressions 9 can be arranged in the form of a pictorial representation in order to obtain luminous picture elements.
As can be seen from FIG. 3, special optical effects can be achieved by combining the picture elements determined by the surface depressions 9 with a pictorial representation on an image carrier 10. This combination makes it possible to highlight certain areas of the pictorial representation on the image carrier through the illuminated pixels of the surface depressions 9, which considerably increases the design variety. It probably does not need to be emphasized that the pictorial representation can be printed on the transparent layer 3 as an image carrier, the pictorial representation is possibly omitted in the area of the surface depressions. 5.10
